Did the repairs fine. Took a long time to get an appointment and a long time for them to process the car pick up.

Nick told me that I was replacing parts that were not worn and that my air cleaner was reuseble and the plug wires were fine when I wanted to replace them. He also did body work that should have been sent to body shop for half of what a body shop would charge. When you ask him to check something and he hasn't got to it yet he says "I'll call you back in 15 minutes" he calls back in 15 minutes with a definite answer. Plus he's a Mac computer user and thats a good thing.

When I asked if he had tested something and he wasn't sure, he went back and checked it over and called me back with the results when he said he would. Also he didn't replace things which I thought should be replaced because they didn't need replacing. Like the spark plug wires and air filter.

I'm really reluctant to say anything about Nick's because right now they are one of the best kept secrets in southern New Jersey. They don't even have a sign on their building. You just gotta know where it is. If I tell others about them, they might be too busy to fix my car when I need them. Nick was first recommended to me by a friend who used to "curbstone" used cars from in front of his house. He is a mechanic and fixes most problems on cars himself, but if its a big job, or if he wants to be sure its fixed right, he takes it to Nick's. Another friend had a car that was still a nice looking car, but it couldn't pass inspection because it was smoking, and he couldn't afford expensive repairs. Nick tried different fixes over a few weeks, but was not successful. He gave the car back and recommended giving it a decent burial, and didn't charge anything! Then a third friend, who is also a "car-guy," was having car trouble and asked if I knew a good place to take it. I recommended Nick's. He already knew Nick's and had used them before. "Of course," he said, "I should have thought of them first. I just picked up my car from Nick today. The power seat had broken and was rocking back and forth.. Nick fixed it for 1/4th of what the Buick dealer wanted, and the seat is more stable than it has ever been. So DON'T GO TO NICK! I need him for when my car breaks.
