As a woman, it's hard for me to find mechanics who treat me like I have a brain, and these guys, especially Nick, all do. They have even brought me out into the shop and shown me on the car exactly what the problem is. Honest, respectful, get things done when they say they're going to get it done...the only minus is that there really aren't any bus routes or train routes within walking distance, and they have no loaner cars that I know of. (There's a train a couple of miles up the road, though, and they have driven me back to my house and picked me up when needed.)

I just moved temporarily to the Bedminster area and was in need of a new mechanic for oil changes and possibly for future repairs. I, of course, headed for the Mechanics Files and found this great place. I had my first oil change there this morning after calling just yesterday afternoon. They were friendly, timely, and didn't try to push any additional services on me. The total cost was around $36 and my wait was around 45 minutes. The waiting area is located inside a gas station with a Dunkin Donuts, not a bad place to read a book and enjoy a cup of coffee while you wait for an oil change. When they were done I asked if everything seemed all right, and, they said, yup, seems like that car's had some good work done - which it has had done for years by my dedicated mechanic at home. I was provided with two 10% discount cards for my next visits on my way out. As a 24-year old single woman with very little knowledge of cars and a new area, I was very impressed by this shop. I highly recommend Bedminster Tire & Auto to others in the area. Thanks Click & Clack for providing this forum, I love your show!
