I'm not an easy customer. I have 3 VW diesels, an 86 jetta with 375k, an 86 Golf with 176 k and a 91 "Eco diesel with 104k. That he is even willing to speak to me let alone try to keep this fleet running speaks for itself. Jerry Just came in 2nd in a regional( Northeast) Delco competition. In five years he has turned a run down mechanic's menace into a very respected local business. He has increased his staff to three full time mechanics and encourages them to get training. ( they don't always go along) He supervises their work. Jerry's wife Clair works along with them to keep the place spotless ( I know , hard to believe isn't it.) I've seen him lose his patience only once in the face of an unreasonable scheduling request. He knows his limitations and if he feels that a job would be done better elswhere he refers it. He won't change an engine or put in a Boneyard engine replacement for instance, and if he has had a problem fixing a problem previously he will tell you. His prices are fair. He has allowed me to find parts on my own, but with the understanding that if it fails prematurely its on me not him! I personally have had few problems and if a problem is not fixed to my satisfaction he has stood behind it. In short he has earned my TRUST.

Although Gerry Gagnon still owns Stratham Mobil, He and his mechanics have moved the business three blocks south ti the corner of Heights Road and ortsmouth Ave. It is called Stratham Undercar. Gerry has gotten sick of trying to cover long hours of gas pumping service, and wants to focus on Automotive repair. Frankly, service quality went down a bit during a difficult move time, but Gerry continued to stand behind his service. He is now back up to snuff at his new location. He is busy as a result of his competence and integrity. This means scheduling an appointment sometimes a week in advance. If you want your car serviced on a Saturday connt on calling a week in advance. Things are still in flux at Stratham Mobil. Gerry isn't sure yet what he will do. Original plan was to move all the mechanical work down to Stratham Undercar and that has happened, but stay tuned. One of my VW's has an alternator belt squeal that appears to be a design problem, and Gerry tightens it on request free of charge!! I have observed him with other customers and he is impeccably honest, courteous and willing to correct any problems that arise. Jerry's wife Clair works with him and is equally gracious.

This shop is very reasonable and Jerry Gagne is very competent with his work. I have had no issues with work or estimates and very pleased with the service. I was recommended to this shop by a mechanic's wife of another well known reputable shop also in town.(they were just too high on labor rates but great for European) Also see Stratham Mobil where Jerry used to be located on Mechanic's Files. I drive high mileage cars (200k+ Honda's) and have great luck here.
