J is L Auto stands for "Jesus is Lord." The owner of J is L, Joe Lapiana is a Marine Veteran of Vietnam, and a devout Christian. When he was recommended to me by a friend, I was hesitant, but you gotta trust your friends. Only 5 months later, when the alternator on my 1997 Ford Escort (215,000 miles on it) "went" again, I stopped in, with lights dimming as I stepped on the brake, cursing every stop sign and slow driver who delayed my arrival. Joe remembered me and had the repairs logged into his computer. He called the supplier and they dispatched a driver with a new alternator immediately. Now here's the *best* part. Joe tells me: "Well, it has been 5 months so I'm going to have to charge you a cup of coffee." I was prepared to hear MAJOR PAIN, and walked away with my car repaired for the price of a "medium light, 2 equals," at the Dunkin Donuts across the street.
