The employees at Mock Tire are great AND honest. In the 11 1/2 years that we have been going to them, their bill has ALWAYS been under the estimate. They have even told us what we could do (and buy at the auto parts store) to save us money. They have given us rides home and let us store a car that was in an accident for over 30 days w/o charge. They have never even charged us for the "cracked CV boot" that our Honda Service Center *always* tells us is cracked and needs to be replaced and packed. We always take the Hondas into Mock after the required service and have them re-check it. They have never charged us for this. They say they need a good laugh now and then. They also use that time to train the employees (and any customers that are around) to look for a normal CV boot and how some repair shops and dealers will try to tell them it is in need of repair when it isn't. onto another Honda story.... We had a 92 Honda Civic with the faulty electrical system (especially the distributor, I think). It was on recall. The Honda Dealership (a mile down the road) "fixed" the problem, but the car kept stalling out. We took it back, but they claimed nothing was wrong with the car. On advice of a friend, we went to Mock. They took out the distributor and related parts, checked them, put them back in, and tested the car. It ran better, but they said they still had stalls on it. They spent 15+ hours on the car. (Honestly! we later found out that the mechanic who worked on it was the husband of one of my wife's employees - but he did not know this was her car -the bill was in my name.) They drove it and repulled the electrical system. Finally, one of the mechanics accidently dislodged a foreign object (he didn't say what it was) from under the clutch/brake/accelleration pedals. It was not a car or car related part. That fixed the problem--for two years until the recalled distributor part (from Honda) broke again. Our charge for all this work..... $0.00 We even tried to pay them. They wouldn't take it.

Mock is a fine shop. They are always nice and provide good advise. I recommend their services.

I've been going there for years. I trust them to tell me when I need new tires because they have frequently told me I DON'T need new tires, and I tend to trust people who tell me not to pay them money!

Tires done well. Can get sizes for older cars. Friendly. One of the few places to get rotors turned.

We started going to Mock Tire on Peters Creek Parway approx one year ago when a friend recommended them to us. The thing that impresses me most is that they will tell you if you actually DON'T need services. For instance, we took our Mitsubishi Galant in recently for new brakes and we thought both the front and rear brakes needed replacing, so that's what we requested. When they checked it, they said that the back brakes were fine and we only needed front brakes. This type of thing has happened more than once. They will not try to oversell their services to you. Another example, one day I took my Jeep in because I noticed a small leak of fluid coming from the transfer case. The owner happened to be at the front desk when I came in (with two toddlers in tow). He pulled the Jeep around, looked at it, was able to fix the problem in about 5 minutes (the leak was coming from around one of the plugs) and returned it to me for no charge. My toddlers and I were off and running in no time flat. We take our cars there for all our service needs now. They do quick oil changes while you wait, too. Every staff member has always been courteous and helpful. You can't go wrong if you take your car to Mock Tire and Automotive.

Every transaction I've had with them has gone very smoothly. They take the time to make sure they understand the work you want done when you drop the vehicle off, and if any questions arise during the course of their work, they'll call to discuss options rather than unilaterally making price-impacting decisions. Though I've only had routine maintenance done, all of the work they've performed has been completed quickly and satisfactorily the first time: I've never had to return to the shop because of something they overlooked or did wrong. On top of all of this, they're extremely friendly.
