I am impressed by several experiences with this shop. One is an old VW rabbit diesel that I had them work on. I can't explain how, but on a previous repair job at another shop, the mechanic had made a job easier on himself by not setting the car to factory specs, but changing something else until the engine smoothed out. He knew that I would never know the difference, but the car no longer would pass inspection. When Taylor's men were working on the car, they set everything to factory specs and it ran terribly. I took it back and they worked on it again. Same result. They were dumbfounded. The book said it should be fine. When I brought it back again, I had just about come to the conclusion that the old car had seen it's last good days and was just playing out. Taylor rechecked the repair list, sympathyzed with me and walked me out to my car. I got in and drove away. When I got home my phone was ringing. It was Taylor. He said the as I drove away, his ear had diagnosed the problem, told me to bring it back and finally discovered why the factory settings had been altered. When it came time for the bill, he only charged me for the original repair, saying that his mechanic should have caught it. I have used him ever since and always found him to be a man of his word.
