This company from the Partners who own it to the customers that keep it alive is using the new automotive sales, service, and follow up technique developed by many but encapsulated so very well by Don Prendegast. This system has been taught to over 20,000 sales, management, and service folks and is at the very least partially responsible for many highest sales and customer retention rates nationwide. Its tenants are simple as far as the customer is concerned: Be nice, be honest, and get the best value for the product while making a fair but less than 10% profit per vehicle. The system is long term oriented. Those customers that drive away satisfied that they got their dollars worth are coming back. We follow up every sale with a 48 hour satisfaction call, then a quality control check on the sales and dealership folks for internal review and adjustment, then a periodic follow2 up to ensure that they are satisfied with the vehicle they purchased. We explain to them if so desired the history of the car sales industry in terms of sales folks motivations and customer expectations to give them a little perspective on the market today. We explain to them the current system of auctions and program cars and how the tax and federal codes drive the pricing they see and get. We explain just about anything they want to know (my shoe size is irrelevant) and take care of them before, during, and most importantly after a sale. To make a fair profit in this day one must give the customer as many options and as much information as they can absorb. Then explain to them how the system works and why it works that way, then convinve them that we are on their side, interested in their future welfare because a return customer generates 3-5 more prospects that have serious intentions to purchase. That is where consumers have wanted the automotive industry to be for the last 50 years. Those dealers like Triangle Mitsubishi are getting there quickly. Come check us out!
