John Barneycastle has to be the world's most honest mechanic. Once, when I had a major repair done there, he forgot to credit me for the core refund on the old part and when he discovered his error several weeks later, he telephoned me to apologize and handed me a hundred dollar bill the next time I saw him. I just wish I still lived in Mount Airy so I could have him work on my car.

My car battery was dead and I could not jump start my car. I called them, and the owner of the shop and one of his guys immediately jumped in their truck and drove to my home to see what the problem was. I needed a new battery, and it was a special design, and they drove all over town until they found it. They had to install it (under the back seat), and they had it all finished in short order. They gave me a bill for the price of the battery - no service call, no labor, etc. I objected, and I demanded a bigger bill (which I gladly paid) - these guys are something special. This is a true story.
