They do great work, and take a lot of pride in what they do. They can be a little higher than other shops, but you are guaranteed that the work is done right. Danny takes a lot of pride in the work he does, and it shows.

Back when I owned my (ahem!) Yugo, Danny's was the only shop in town that could work on it. Somehow, they managed to keep that 4-wheelbarrow with a coffe-grinder servo for an engine running for four years! They even tracked down a muffler for it in Montana, after the parts factory in the former Yugoslavia had been bombed by the Serbs! They're great for mechanical work. They're great for body work, too--so long as you're ready to leave your vehicle in your will to someone who will follow up. A dear friend of mine has had her VW in for restoration at Danny's--for five years. FIVE YEARS. It's still in pieces (which was not the case before it went in!), so seeking an alternative is no option. Questions about progress get angry responses, too. (Not that we're pestering--she calls once ever 6 months or so.) Having seen other restoration jobs he's done, I can attest to the fact that he and his staff do beautiful work, which is why she took her Ghia there. Long and short of it: Danny's is great for engine work, and I'm sure they're fast for minor body work. If it's something major, like a restoration, you'd do well to expand your definition of "patience," or look elsewhere.

I went to Danny's almost twenty years ago when another mechanic I had used for five years charged for work not done. Every since, I simply say, "Do what needs to be done." I have NEVER been screwed or taken advantage of. If something comes up unexpectedly, I always get a call. I ask questions (being rather unmechanical) and I get answers. They are honest about telling me when they are not sure something will work and I get to make the decision. Danny now has his two sons working with him. Over the years I certainly have saved many dollars but above all, worry or doubts. They always check out any car before I buy it. They have saved me some really bad decisions. To find a mechanic whom you can totally trust is even better than a wife - - In thirty years, I have had two of each. The mechanic has been a better investment by far. (Perhaps I need them to check out the next wife too!)

Excellent mechanic, exceptionally honest, I will not take my car(s) to any other mechanic.
