Regan's Exxon (Also known as East Franklin Care Care) is located on, where else, Franklin Street. However, there are two Exxon garages --you want Regan's Exxon, not the other guys near the UNC campus. Regan's is located behind the Food Lion shopping center, near the Well Springs Grocery (which supplies Chapel Hill's liberal crowd with their organic fare, including milk from that world famous dairy, Organic Cow -- yeah! Well, they're world famous in Vermont.) The only redeeming quality of "the other Exxon" near UNC is that their garage is located next to Ben & Jerry's. In fact, when my car broke down in front of "the other Exxon", the street people (who helped me push my car out of a busy intersection) warned me not to let "these characters" work on it but to take it somewhere else. No joke, this really happened. Tommy, Mr. Regan's mechanic, promptly came to my rescue. My little Geo (called "The Weeble") has purred like a kitten ever since.
