This actually happened with my husband's 1987 VW Scirocco. It has over 200k miles on it and will not die. My husband, Chris, was on his way to work at the hospital and was trying to park his car in the parking garage when it died on him. He called Eric, our mechanic, who immediately sent a tow truck over. They had to push the car out of the garage before hooking up to the truck. Whent they got it to the garage, they told Chris it looked like the alternator and gave him an estimate (including towing) of about $240. Eric called and told us it was ready to be picked up. We got there and the total was only eighty something dollars. Turns out the extra jiggling the car does jiggled some bolts lose causing the something or other to become disconnected that caused it to die. So the towing and and work was less than $100 - when we were expecting over $200. They could have easily screwed us and we'd have never known it. That's when I fell in love with Biltmore Wheel.

These guys are great! They have been honest, helpful and reasonable. I now have my mom's '88 Ford Tempo and they have done work for me three times. Granted I live about 2.5 miles down the road, but they have come to pick up my car, because I had to leave for school, and given me a ride home when I needed it. I have also dropped in on them in a panic and even though they were swamped they took the time to come out and check to see if I was in need of immediate repair. Service like this doesn't come around often.
