Lots of shops can remove and replace--fuelpumps, starters, and so on. But when it gets pricey--engine and driveline-- you need a shop that can fix it the first time, every time. Otherwise the cost and inconvenience of redos will eat you alive and you will dump the rig. That's what I was about to do with my Toyota 4X4 (260K)when I found Master Tech, operated by Jake Jacquier. He doesn't need to look up the costof my engine rebuild in his flat rate. He fishes an invoice from his billing file and reads the number. Walls papered with factory-training certificates. As breathtaking as those labor and genuine Toyota parts costs can be initially, always cheaper than bungling redos--or the price of even a good used replacement.

I knew, before I took my car to them, my car was difficult to find parts for. I, however, didn't say anything when I brought it in. My car was having some extreme transmission problems. When I placed my first call, my vehicle was at my home. Jake came out to my home, free of charge, to see if he could make an initial diagnosis. Very awesome. :) Once I brought my car to his shop, he did a thorough investigation. He called me and told me what was wrong and then was very honest about how difficult it would be, as well as expensive, to find parts for my vehicle. He, as well as the other employees, are very friendly & honest. Two thumbs up. A+++ People.

I have used Master Tech for various repairs and maintenance and they have always been very pleasant and helpful. They have even helped me immediately when I came in without an appointment and they were otherwise occupied. They have been respectul, fair, and pleasant. They only work on Toyotas but if you have one, I recommend you do business with Master Tech.

This is how nice they are and how they value their customers. I drug my old Toyta truck into the shop unannounced for a visit because I believed I needed a new battery and my little truck is my only transportation. Will (the guy who organizes everything and communicates with the customers) took his lunch break to test my battery, determine it was bad and replace it with a new one and his time spent was FREE of charge, only cost was the price of the battery. This graciousness is a daily occurrence. (Will did receive some of his favorite beer for his generosity). They are highly recommended!

Jake, Will, et al. always treated me with respect and always answered my questions, even the really ignorant ones, during the 4+ years I lived near Missoula. My 1992 Corolla has 240,000+ miles and is still running great thanks to them-- and they never told me to send it to the dump. I've since moved away and know that I'll likely never be able to find as great a bunch of mechanics in my new home. Wish they'd open a branch office here....

We've been taking our 1985 4Rnr to Master Tech for the last 10 years. I rarely return with the same problem. If I do, they fix it for free. They are willing to do small, quick repairs for free. They have always explained what is wrong clearly and told me accurately how much and how long. If you own a Toyota anywhere near Missoula, Montana I highly recommend Master Technician.

These guys care about their customers, as much as fixing their vehicles right the first time. Jake and Blake have over 32 years experience with Toyota dealers prior to starting their own shop nearly 10 years ago. Jake was certified as far up the Toyota training ladder as possible before starting his shop. They guarantee their work 12 months/12 thousand miles, and use Toyota parts almost exclusively. If you own a Toyota or Lexus, these guys are the ones I would recommend without hesitation.

They won our love and affection about 8 years ago when they came out to my work, started our toyota truck, took it back to their shop, fixed it, and charged me $350 less than the dealership had quoted us! Turned out to be a little copper piece on the starter that had worn out so the Master Tech charged us $20. They have been great to us ever since. We are dedicated toyota owners and never think of taking our vehicles anywhere else.

Go to these guys. I've had my T100 fixed by them countless times and they are fair, honest, and competent. They're a small shop, but they know their stuff - and I'd take them over the dealer ANY day. Can't say enough good stuff about them.
