These guys are from Eastern Europe and know european cars like Tom and Ray know pasta. They are honest, and remember the particulars about your car- the kharma of your ghia. There are several good independent Mercedes garages in Saint Louis (Reid Vann, Schwartz), GLB is among the best, and their fees are reasonable. Watch out for the killer bump in their parking lot!

Gave these guys every opportunity to "sell" me all kinds of repairs. They gave my car and my concerns the once over and told me what was going on and what really needed repairing. I'm sold. I like the fact that they are Europeons. The variety of cars and configurations available there far outweigh the options here. This would lead me to believe that they'll see nothing new or surprising when they work on imports here. With 145,000+ miles on my car, I'll be back.

My 97 328is had a catastrophic transmission failure 2 weeks into the extended warranty period. The extended warranty folks made GLB jump through a lot of hoops and sent a claims adjuster to investigate, claiming it was a "pre-existing condition" that caused the failure. The BMW auto. trans. is "maintenance free" so this was a lot of hot air, of course. Buddy worked hard to get this covered by the warranty and was a huge help in getting my car back on the road. These guys are always very busy and specialize in BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, Porsche, Volvo, etc... Expect a bit of a wait if you don't book in advance, but it's well worth it. I was very happy with the work done and the service, and will use these guys as my exclusive shop for a long time to come.

I brought my car in for a funny-noise check after taking it to the Volvo dealership here and having them charge me $60 to tell me the noise was in my head. The $60 dollars didn't fix the noise, but I brought it in to GLB after seeing your site. The mechanic, Buddy, took it out just to hear the noise and came back saying it was fixed. It was apparently just something that needed to be tightened and they did it for free. I've got a mechanic!

I took my very old, high mileage Saab here suspecting it needed major work and on the fence about keeping it going. I asked to discuss the recommendations before any work was done. The "discussion" was extremely brief and left me thinking they recommended the repair. Over a thousand dollars and several days later, I picked up the car. Within two weeks, I was back with another major problem that they acknowledged they foresaw the first time. I would never have sunk the first $1000 in if I had known! To me, terrible communication, lack of concern for customer, just making their money.
