The nice thing is that they tell you what should be repaired and if necessary which part of that can wait and which cannot. They are really good about quotes and sticking to them; I've only ever had repairs come in under the quote, never over. They also give excellent referrals to other shops if necessary. I've heard great word of mouth regarding this shop from multiple sources.

I've been dealing with them for about 20+ years. The one or two times that something has been screwed up, a phone call and a repeat visit resolved the issue. Earlier this year I took one of my fleet(?) of 1998 vehicles in for 2 new tires. (I have 3 1998 cars). I had gotten a flat and wanted them to fix it. It couldn't be fixed, so I purchased 2 new tires. Saying "put the new on the front, front to the back and get rid of the old" or something like that. A day later Idiscovered that I still had my flat! and the original tires. Called them by 8:30 that day and they found my original 'good' (only a few months old) tires in the scrape heap. Stoped by and they remounted, balanced and whatever else they needed to do to get me back on the road within an hour or less. They were extreamly apoligitic and ready to do whatever it would take to make it right. I indicated that 'S... tuff happenes!'. I'll be back to have work done on my 'fleet' of vehicles.

No A/C and Living in St. Louis! NOT! I took our 97 Ford van to the Ford dealership in our area for a diagnosis. After the sticker shock of the estimate and the manner in which it was explained made me feel uncomfortable. Having driven past Combs Tire thousands of times I thought I'd give them a try. What I found was a dedicated and HONEST staff and feel comfortable recommending them to anyone that has car issues. I CAN'T THANK THEM ENOUGH!

The guys at Combs were excellent and very professional, and were able to quickly and accurately diagnose all problems I've had, and when I was in a financial bind and needed repairs and/or replacement tires, they arranged a payment plan that worked for us both but kept me on the road and able to keep working.

When I was in high school, my dad started using Comb's on the recommendation of my headmaster. It was a boarding school, so when he had car issues while visiting me, he needed to trust someone's advice. Now almost 15 years later, I'm back in St. Louis, and I am happy to see that Comb's is still in business and continues to do good work. They are also so helpful when it comes to fitting me when whenever they possibly can. I strongly recommend Comb's whenever anyone asks.
