Taking my car to Erik is always a pleasure. He is kind, has a great sense of humor and always takes the time to listen without making you feel like you don't have a clue what you are talking about. He sincerely enjoys his work and I have never seen him in a bad mood or short-tempered at any time I have taken my car to his shop. He always takes the extra couple of minutes to make the customer feel important to him. His work is always complete and thorough and I have never had a problem with any of his repairs. His pricing is fair and he has never added any unnecessary repairs to what I have needed done. If during his inspection he discovers something that may need repair or maintenance in the future he discusses it with me and explains in an easily understood fashion what he is talking about and how that repair or maintenance will impact the longevity of my car. Erik is a treasure.

I'm surprised there are only two reviews, going back to 1999. Eric deserves better! He's competent, down to earth, and honest. I still do some of my own maintainence & repair work, but more and more things are becoming beyond the backyard mechanic, that guys like Eric are a pleasure to do business with.

These guys are the real deal. They are friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and straight forward. They know how to treat people. Kind of like working with your eagle scout honest older brother who is looking after you. They'll give you a lift if you need one. They are open on Saturdays. The staff like working there. They take the time to explain things and show you if need be. I had my brakes chewing into my rotors - looked like I was carving a maze into them - YIKES! They had it repaired in no time and faster than "book time" and charged me for what was actual. I'll go back again. I actually came here to look up their number since I need to take it in again and realized that I hadn't shared how great they are.

Eric is awesome! No joke, the only honest mechanic in town. I have been taking my cars there for years, and I will never let anyone else near them. He is always up-front and honest about what needs to be fixed and when. I recommended him to at least 10 different people, and as far as I know, all of them are still with him.

2 years ago our daughter was a student in Columbia, MO driving our old 1990 "gutless cutlass". We checked your website and found a wonderful mechanic. Forward 2 years and she is now in Minneapolis, MN, same car, new problems. (No, Ray, she has not met Les Block yet...) understanding they do not come with a guarantee. He has been honest, friendly, competent, easy to work with, and concerned about our daughter. We highly recommend him to anyone and everyone. We thank him, and we again thank you. We again went to the website, and found Erik Dutcher at D & D Auto Works, only a mile away from where our daughter lives. Well, we decided we are truly blessed. He has simply been wonderful to work with. We are in Wisconsin doing all the back and forth by phone and getting calls every day from him to update us on the problems, solutions, and cost etc. He was cooperative with finding "junkyard" parts to save money with the understanding that there is no guarantee for those parts. He has been honest, friendly, efficient, competent, and concerned for our daughter. We recommend him very highly to anyone and everyone. We thank him and we thank you. K & B Ryan Amery, WI

Erik is the most honest car mechanic I have ever worked with. He does excellent work and takes time to fully explain what is going on with the car and why. Additionally, he is willing to tell you what needs to be fixed right now in order for your car to operate safely and what type of things can wait or don't need to be repaired. When I moved to Virginia State I made sure to drive my car back here to have him work on it rather than trying to find a new mechanic out there. Although Erik and I each expressed great satisfaction when this lovely car was eventually totaled and I don't get to see him as often because my new car is much more reliable, I would still highly recommend Erik to anyone who is in need of a great mechanic.

I've taken 3 of my vehicles to Will at the Wooddale D & D, two of them old beaters and now my new vehicle. He's done many major repairs for me and oil changes. You get honest quality work done at D & D. Plus there is never a problem getting your car in. If you call and ask Will if they can get your car in today, no problem he says, bring it in. I drive a long way to have them work on my car because of the great work they do. Keep it up guys, you're the best!
