Mike and his crew have been the neighborhood mechanics for seven years now and I've never heard of a complaint about them or their service. They have always treated me as if I was their most valued customer and have on numerous occasions made sure that I got my vehicle back when I needed it. The prices are always reasonable. I'll tell you how much of a saint Mike is - he sold me an '85 Crown Vic station wagon, the tranny went out on it a couple of days later and he replaced it for me for free. That tranny died on me few days later and again he replaced it for free. Sure enough, the new transmision went a couple of days later. When I brought it back in he just shook his head and said " I'm going to look into why this is happening and if I don't find the problem I'm just going to give you the money back and junk the car." Later that afternoon he calls me back and says "My fault. I didn't realize that there was a kick down bar on the tranny that needed to be adjusted. It's fixed now and, of course, there's no charge." This man put three trannys into the car for free when he could have just blown me off. When I asked him about this he just calmly stated that his reputation was worth more then a couple of used transmissions. More business should be conductated in this manner. Mike's Advanced Auto is the best garage in this state and I will never take my vehicles elsewhere

I refer some of my clients to Mike and his guys because of his great care of my mother. She has been taking her 2001 Ford Tortoise to Mike's since she purchased the car, and he keeps it running like a top, calls her to check that the issue is resolved, and charges fair rates. When I sent a client to him recently - older woman who was getting jacked by a dealer who told her she "had to have a new engine installed" and who refused to provide her with proof that the diagnostic was done. She went to Mike with her 8yo VW Mini-van thing and he did a quick check and just told her that she did not need a new anything -- except new oil and fuel filters! Total cost (including scanning computer for codes): $275 - estimated savings over the idiot dealer: $3500! They do great work on foreign and domestic (which are really foreign cars now too!), and LOVE BROWNIES!! Even if you just need a second opinion, Mike is excellent for that. Once you've been down that road, you will never need to find another mechanic. One small downside -- they take Friday afternoon's off, so be sure to get in early in the week. They want to use their boats too, right?! LOL
