Here's why I like Kevin's Auto. I've taken several of our family vehicles there. As they diagnose the problem, I get a phone call and it's like playing 20 Questions. Only THEY are asking ME the questions about our driving routine, who is the primary driver, what kind of daily or weekly driving the vehicle goes through and most importanly, what do I want to accomplish by this repair. Do I want to spend all sorts of money fixing that 8 year old car's puff of smoke at start up or just be assured that that the problem isn't serious and it's not going to get serious? It's a really small shop but all their wrench guys have certificates and diplomas and you get a sense they treat your car like it was their car. The only knock I can come up with is it takes some planning to drop the car off there and find a way to work and get back to the shop before they close. They're shop hours are shorter than my workday. Of course, maybe I have it reversed. Maybe I'm working too much and should keep shorter hours myself. Their prices are little steeper than some of the chain stores, but I believe you drive away from the shop with a certainity that your car was fixed right by people who know what they're doing.
