I moved To Traverse City, and bought a car, now i needed a mechanic to look at it. right by my house i saw a rundown sign for Van Brocklin service, and i was about to pass them by when i saw in the garage all gray haired guys. My dad always said that an older mechanic is the best. So i pulled in to talk to them and they had one guy who did the customer service and he was extrememly pleasant. the mechanics were nice but, they seemed like car nerds who were shy about talking to people. the business has been there for a long time. the current owner is in his 60s, he is the son of the guy who opened it long ago. they give great service, two repairs done well and reasonabley priced, they have never given my wife the run around, and they are honest as heck. i listened to the customer service guy basically give up a 100$ ,ten minute repair, by telling the customer how to do the really simple repair themselves and save the money. i was amazed.
