Tim has worked on all of my cars, from my beloved 928 Porsche to my kids diesel Jetta, which was first driven about 260,000 miles before he got it and give it the ultimate test, being driven by a teenager. Tim has always treated us with repect and is probably the most honest mechanic I have ever had the pleasure to do business with.

Good, capable, clear. I've gone to them for years, and I've always been happy. The only time things weren't quite right, they made it right.

I found Tim's place via Car Talk Plaza, but despite this questionable association took my car there any way. I had other estimates and had only recently retired to this area of the state leaving all my trusted contacts hours away. In any event, Tim immediately became trustworthy when he: a) knew what a Morgan was and b) had raced them in vintage competitions. They say the best surgeon is one who talks you out of the operation. I had estimates on my Volvo needing new shocks, suspension all the way around. Tim took the time to put it on the lift--despite it being the end of the day-- and basically cut the job in half. He did point out a water pump concern, based upon his knowledge of the model of car, and encouraged me to confirm the pump had not been replaced by my old mechanic. All said and done--this strikes me as an honest mechanic who knows his stuff, is prudent with your money and there were no boats in evidence. He did have a vintage car on rotisserie. He did admit to spoiling grandchildren. If only he would work on my wife's Subaru.
