This branch of Hal's (they also have a location in Farmington) is conveniently open on Saturdays. Don is the guy at the desk, and he remembers me and has always been very friendly. Many of the guys in the shop are the same from oil change to oil change, and they say hi when they pop in and out of the garage. You can make "appointments" for oil changes by telling them what time you'd like to come in, and my car has always been brought into a bay for service promptly. They mail out coupons about every 6 weeks for a synthetic blend oil change combined with tire rotation, free wiper blades, etc., for $29.99 which is a great deal and much appreciated. They have taken the time to explain in more detail what a repair they have to do means/where it is, etc., if I ask. They're also willing to say if a repair is something that needs to be done now or is honestly something that can wait or is less critical. (I've had a couple small repairs done to my car there, but happily it's been a pretty good vehicle and so most of my Hal's experiences have been with preventive maintenance). I can no longer go there since I moved out of state, but I would happily and full-heartedly recommend these guys to anyone in the area. They do a great job at a reasonable price and care about you and your car.
