MY DAD/UNCLE ALWAYS DID MY REPAIR WORK. BUT THEY ARE GETTING OLDER AND NO LONGER THINK ITS FUN TO REPLACE AN ALTERNATOR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN AN -10 DEGREE SNOWSTORM. SO FOR A TEST I LET JIM MATHEWS DO A GENERAL TUNE UP. I BROUGHT ALL MY OLD PARTS AND THE INVOICE TO MY DAD & GOT THE SEAL OF APPROVAL. MOST RECENTLY JIM REPLACED MY ALTERNATOR AGAIN, REFER TO ANECDOTE ABOVE..MY FATHER BOUGHT THE LAST PART AT A LOCAL STORE-3 YEARS AGO, EVEN THOUGH JIM DID NOT DUE THE ORIGINAL WORK HE GOT THE NEW PART ON WARRANTY, SO I ONLY HAD TO PAY FOR LABOR. LABOR IS $60/HR, BUT I HAVE RARELY HAD TO PAY MORE THAN 1/2 HOUR LABOR. HIS WIFE PICKS UP/DROPS OFF AT MY JOB, AND I ALWAYS GET MY CAR BACK SAME DAY. AND HE DOESN'T MARK UP PARTS. AND IF YOU DON'T ABSOLUTELY NEED SOMETHING FIXED HE WILL TELL YOU SO. ALSO IF IT IS A JOB YOU COULD DO YOURSELF, HE'LL TELL YOU HOW TO DO IT. I GIVE SHADE TREE MECHANIC AN A++ RATING

As I was told prior to taking my car in for service, they do not charge if they don't find a problem!
