Shop was recommended by a Sun Analyzer salesman. On 1st visit saw both Sun And Allen machines hanging from garage ceiling. A vintage Rolls was in one of three bays. Having no reason to own wrenches, a trustworthy, competent mechanic to fix the junk I drive is necessary. For 8 years he has done good work. A car rental location is a half mile away. The bus stop is across the street.

When I was in college (MSU) i had a couple of hand me down junkers. One, an 84 Topaz, needed a water pump. I tried to take it off with a mallet and a pair of vise grips, then had it towed to Shep's. He had it together the next day, at a reasonable price, and he told me of some other looming problems (head gasket) that probably weren't worth fixing, but to be aware of and to keep an eye on the oil and coolant. A few years later I had a Ranger Pickup with noisy Universal Joints. I drove it in for to have 'em replaced, and he said to call him that afternoon. It was done, and he said "You only needed one, and it has a zerk. USE IT" 45 bucks.

They were the best. There were a couple times when I had a loose clamp or something simple. Any other shop would have charged me for a hose, clamp an $60.00 to tighten it but Tony usually laughed and asked me if I knew what a screw driver was and sent me home without spending a dime.

Tony always makes me feel like he cares as much about my car -- and my safety in the car -- as I do.

Tony has always been honest with us......even when the news was not good. Repairs are done in a timely manner. Tony will tell you up front if repairs will take an extended time. Tony & Kevin have kept our small fleet running for several years now & I feel they are people we can trust to get the job done right & leave us with a smile and more knowledgeable than we were when we arrived...............JL
