DENNY'S IS A SHOP I WOULD SEND A FRIEND I WOULD WANT TO KEEP TO GET A CAR REPAIRED. THEY TEST FOR THE PROBLEM FIRST AND THEN FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY WONT CHANGE A PART UNLESS IT IS BAD OR IT WOULD BE BEST WHEN THE REPAIR IS BEING COMPLETED.THEY ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST BUT THEY DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME WITHOUT "PARTS CHANGING". WHEN A GUESS IS NECCESSARY IT IS THE RIGHT ONE.

I have been going to Denny's Auto Diagnosis for 20+ years and have been satisfied with the work done on my vehicles all of which have been Oldsmobiles (after all, this is Olds "country" and the manufacture thereof was my father's and grandfather's livlihood). One particular mechanic has always worked on my cars - Brian Wolf - he's trustworthy, honest and knows his "stuff!"

These guys have always been consistent for me. It's nice to have one place to go that knows me by name -- We both know what to expect from each other. Before I found Denny's, I brought my vehicle elsewhere. They looked at my vehicle for free and said that a full Tune Up would take care of my misfire. Seeing as though my vehicle only had 45K and was not due for a TU -- I told them NO. I took my vehicle to Denny's. They ran acutal tests and told me all I needed was a Motor Vac -- About 200 bones, my car was fixed! If I would have had the "Full TU" done, I would have been out the money for the TU I did not need and would have still had the problem! Check there WEB site -- I'ts what brought me here! dennysautodiagnosis.com

Denny's Auto Diagnosis is the best shop I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with in my 35 years of driving vehicles. They are very honest and they are not afraid to tell me what they do not know.....then find an answer. Some people say they are over priced...I say thier prices are fair and I am confident that they will fix my problem(s) the first time. I am willing to pay a little extra for premium service. Another nice touch is they ALWAYS clean my windows inside and out after any service. Denny, Tim, Joe, Kim are all very good Technicians. They are always learning new skills and making sure they have the latest diagnostic equipment. They NEVER try to sell me on anything that I do not need. I am thankful for such service. you will never get this level of service from a Dealership...no matter how much "they" say they will. Dealerships are there to make money first....at Denny's I come first.

Tim and the office staff always greet me by name. I feel I am at home in this shop (even with their resident dog). Kim has replace one engine and rebuilt another for me -- a great job, and fixed a shift rod that needed to be replaced (he rebuilt it instead -- at no additional cost!!!). I have had all of the mechanics work on my vehicles at one time or another over the last ten years (as long as I have lived in Lansing). They do give me a ride home almost every time (sometimes in the past my wife has picked me up, but we are a one car family now .. so I depend on their friendly staff). As I live nearby I either get a ride to pick up my car when it is fixed, or I walk over -- I need the exercise :-)

Not the cheapest place in town but they came highly recommended by a friend. Ten years later and I'm still with them.
