This shop is great! They offer 24-hour towing with a fleet of tow trucks and have very quick service. Our car wouldn't start and we were in a remote forest area. The cell phone worked (luckily) and Jeff, the owner's son, was there with a tow truck in 20 minutes! He towed us back to the shop, determined the starter had failed, checked on a new starter and, when told it would cost about $235, decided to rebuild the old one. The mechanic (Steve) removed the old one, Jeff took it to a rebuilding shop, went to get it when it was done and Steve reinstalled it. All of this took 90 minutes!!!! Unbelievable! They dropped everything to take care of our problem. And Dave, the shop owner and father, made out the bill that was well below the cost of a new starter, and that included a tow from 17 miles away! Again, unbelievable! Ironwood is in the far northwest corner of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and the closest major city is Duluth, MN. Having a family-owner shop like this in a relatively remote area is a real find! Thanks!!
