Though we have brought in a variety of vehicles (Ford Contour, Ford Explorer, Ford Ranger) for repair of minor problems, it was our experience with my son's recent purchase, a 2001 Dodge Stratus, that pushed me over the edge and allowed me to trust mechanics again. After only a week of ownership, the timing belt broke. Randy and Ken are top notch mechanics. When we towed our Stratus in, the boys did not flinch. After a couple of false starts while we looked for, and rejected, replacement motors, the boys at Maxi finally removed the original motor, sent it out for a rebuild, and replaced it. They took great care to make sure that all parts fit and worked. The repair price was reasonable and they did not charge us for parking and storage while we diddled away two weeks conducting our failed motor search. The rebuild was done properly. The installation went smoothly. The Dodge runs perfectly. My son is smiling again. Cars being cars, I'm certain one of ours will need service again. Maxi Muffler in Harrison is where we will return.
