Klaus has always been very accomodating and helpful. He is very upfront about costs and explains in lay mans terms what is going on.

Klaus knows Subarus like you wouldn't believe. He spent MORE time and detail explaining to me his diagnosis for my Subaru than I really was interested in, but I appreciated his forthrightness and patience and fair treatment (as a female!) I really trust this guy. And, he charged me less than I expected.

One of the hardest parts about moving away from Laramie was leaving Klaus. When you find a good, honest mechanic that doesn't treat you like "just a girl" its hard to let that go. He worked hard to find the best deal on parts, explained everything thoroughly, and his estimates were usually accurate. I highly recommend Import Auto.

Klaus is a real mechanic. After the local Subaru technicians failed repeatedly to figure out the erratic starting problem on my Legacy, Klaus took the time to use his brain & the scientific method to trace it to a wiring fault. And he didn't charge me the full cost his hourly rate would've dictated, since it took quite a while to figure out. As he correctly surmised, that made me return to him the next time I needed work done, instead of going to the agency.

Klaus has worked on three cars for my family including an Audi A4, SAAB 93 (my daughter's car) and my BMW 325i. He has always treated us more than fairly, including indulging my search for the squeaky suspension on the A4 which we eventually found. If I would have originally followed his advice to replace the water pump on the 325 with a steel impeller type, I would have saved the engine. When he replaced the engine, he accommodated my schedule, found a good used engine and explained what work he did. I recommend using Import Auto. You will always be treated fairly.

Klaus takes good care of you. He knows what he's talking about, is VW trained, helped me make a list of things that will be needed in the near future, but didn't put pressure to do more now. My hood didn't open quite right, and he fixed it in minutes and for free.

Excellent company. Klaus is very professional and friendly. I like that they try to find things that could possibly be safety hazards, and I honestly feel like they try to save the customer money on things that are not needed. Estimate for work are extremely close to what I've paid, and the work has always been done well. Klaus loves to show the parts that he has replaced and explain why he replaced them. They are one of the best shops, of any profession, I've ever run into, and I would recommend them any day.

Klaus is an amazing mechanic and runs an honest business. During a simple oil change, Klaus went above and beyond and provided me with a list of upcoming repairs. He never pressured me to have him to the repairs, but let me know which would need to be repaired eventually. Even after moving away from Laramie, Klaus let me know over the phone what specific repairs were necessary. I can't recommend Import Auto enough!

  • Idaho...stranded
Klaus is a godsend. VW Jetta broke down on way home from Broncos game. Had parts shipped from Cheyenne and fixed it in an afternoon so we could get back to Idaho

These guys are very knowledgeable, and honest. They helped me with my Subaru Forester and actually explained to me what was going on. On top of that they gave me great advice and tips to keep my car running well. Very good at what they do. Suggest everyone should take there car here.
