My top engine mount on my Pontiac 6000 broke. They ordered the part but there was a delay getting it. To hold me over, the gentlemen were kind enough to jerry-rig my engine in to place until the part was shipped in. Moreover, this took them some time and they didn't charge me for it either. The piece they temporarily fixed lasted the three weeks that I needed it to.

I cant say enough about Ernie and the others at Shorty Anderson's. How many times have you gone to the mechanic with a problem or concern and left paying nothing? That has happened to me several times, but never at another mechanic. Not to mention a couple of times that my bill was 10 bucks or so. I had to move away from Morgantown 8 months ago for work and I am just sick. Where I am going to find another auto repair shop that can trust like that?

Ernie and Rod are two of the nicest people I've ever met, and when it comes to repairing cars they are highly competent and charge very reasonable prices. To be honest, I'd rather lose my doctor than lose these men as my mechanics! Good doctors are easier to find. The shop is neat as a pin and so are Ernie and Rod. They never leave oil or grease on any part of your car except where it belongs: under the hood or underneath. By the way, neither Ernie nor Rod is nicknamed "Shorty." That was the name of the man who owned the shop before they did.

We all love the guys at Shorty Anderson's. Everyone I know goes to them for all their car servicing. Here is a Shorty Anderson Haiku: Shorty Anderson is really Ernie and Rod and they do great work

These guys have been fixing my cars for the past 15 years. I've had Toyotas, Honda, Subaru, Volvo and a crappy Oldsmobile during that time and each has had Rod & Ernie under the hood. A few weeks ago, my daughter ran a Sub over a curb and tore out some wires under a fender. Ernie came out, fixed them in a few minutes and sent her on her way with NO charge other than the fun of teasing her for a few minutes. I would never buy a used car without taking it over for them to to inspect before making a deal. Their work is good and their prices are fair. You can be certain that if these fellows say your car needs, something...you need it!

If you're new to Morgantown and are looking for a car care shop, you could do far worse than these gentlemen. This is a great shop within a comfortable walking distance to WVU's downtown campus. The mechanics are honest, accommodating, and affordable. They will tell you when you're better off using a different shop and only sell you what you need. I plan to rely on Shorty Anderson's for all my routine maintenance work going forward.

John & Ernie have treated me respectfully from the get-go. I am 32-year old female Graduate student @ WVU. When I came to Morgantown I feared the typical stigma that is often applied to young women. My appearance betrays my experience in that I worked for an auto repair & sales guy when I was in college in VA. Boy did I learned things I sometimes wish I didn't know! That experience, along with a plethora of lemons & crappy repair guys assuming I'm an idiot, has given me enough background to competently complete your survey. My old Olds has seen better days, but thanks to the guys at Shorty Anderson's I'll be toolin' around in my Achieva for all my Morgantown days (at least)!

These guys are the BEST. Knowledgeable, persistent in finding the problem, accommodating, honest, personable, really nice people. They do great work and with the personal touch. I highly recommend them!!
