They have correctly diagnosed several problems on several of my vehichles, and have always provided a prompt, thoright repair job at reasonavle prices. Kurt is a top notch mechanic, and Tom (owner) is also great at explaining repairs needed. They will also tell you when a repair is not needed, and suggest alternates.

I've taken two of my vehicles in for repairs in the last couple of years. They always call and give you options, and don't sell you something you don't need. As I was in the auto repair business all my working life, they never give you the run around like most repairs do!

I cannot begin to describe how disappointed I was in this place. I have a 2003 Toyota Matrix. My check engine light was on and I knew it was my first spark plug and belt. They said they had to do a diagnostics check to figure it all out and I was ok with that. They confirmed it was the spark plug and belt. They fixed it and I thought everything was good. I was happy at this point. However, I came to realize that they overcharged me $20 from what the invoice actually said when I paid. They told me it was $486 when it was really $466. 2 days later the check engine light comes on again. They then run another diagnostics check and charge me again for that. They tell me it is now my fuel injector which I could tell might be a problem because the car took a while to turnover. I tell them to go ahead and fix that then and they ended up taking the $20 off this invoice for the previous mistake. They wouldn't have noticed or cared if I didn't say something. Now, I paid $270 instead of the supposedly $290. However, problem gets fixed and light goes off. Another 2 days passes after that and the light comes on for a 3rd time. I ask them to run another diagnostics check to figure out what the problem is and they CHARGE ME AGAIN! They tell me it's my catalytic converter. When I asked why they charged me again for the test, they said it's because a new code popped up each time. No, that's actually not how it works. It would show you every code, not just one each time. They told me this would now cost $650 to cost. So, I took my car to O'Reilly Auto Parts for a FREE! I repeat FREE! diagnostics check and they took me through everything. They confirmed it was the catalytic converter and showed me all the parts I would need. Total they said the parts would be $170 and then recommended Andy at His Auto in Oconomowoc who would do it for much cheaper. Safe to say Nashotah Garage was just trying to rip me off. I do not suggest them for fair and honest prices or integrity for that matter. Not once did they really explain what they needed to do to fix the problem, just said this is it and this is the cost. I suggest getting other estimates before going here and be sure to get a FREE diagnostics check before spending $50 for one here. Or getting charged 3 times for something that they couldn't figure out the first time.
