They know about VWs. They work on other cars, too. They tell you exactly what is the matter, how much it should cost, where you should go if it is something they would send out. They pick you up and drop you off happily. One time my phone was off the hook, so at lunch, the wife drove my car to my house, left the keys in the mailbox and a note on the door, and I hadn't even paid for the work yet. Good people!

I was in Milwaukee on business when the shifter on my '90 VW Corrado (a limited production VW, notoriously expensive to repair)started acting up. Fearing the worst, I got RK's name from the Click & Clack website and called them. They got me right in, which was a welcome surprise. Keith found the problem inside of ten minutes, which turned out to be a "c-clip" that had fallen out of the shifter assembly. Keith had one on hand, replaced it, and then said those magical words - "no charge". When was the last time you had a car fixed and wasn't charged? This shop is the real deal, and next time I need work done I will drive from my home in Illinois to come back to these guys....

RK Motors has done both major and minor work on my Passat and an Accura I owned previously. I've never had a complaint about their work or prices. On two occasions when I took the Passat in describing only symptoms, they told me what they thought the problem could be, then hours later called saying they had found a different problem, saving me several hundred dollars each time. When, on another occasion the problem was more serious than expected, they called, explained the situation to my satisfaction, and offered alternatives.

rk was several years ago sold to tony k. he is a great guy who bend over backwords to help his customers. i have had several times taken in my ford taurus and he fixed my problems quick and right every time. he has also gone over my car and found things i wasn't even complaining about. He seems very honest telling me a problem can wait or should be adressed soon. i am not made of money and i don't think he has ever sold me anything i didn't need. He has taken me into the shop and shown me problems with my car so i had a better idea of what was wrong. The mechanics i met were friendly and happy to explain what the problem with my car was. i reccomend all my friend to goto his shop and i strongly recomend that you try it out.
