All the guys at Northeast are greatÐthey do good work and will frequently try to get the best price on parts or the most cost-efficient solution to the problem. They are of the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" school so will always tell me when something I (paranoid non-automotively inclined) think needs doing can be put off or is not necessary. They have good car mags in the waiting room, and tell great stories about their weekend racing exploits. They give good advice about what kinds of problems I may expect from my cars in the future. They will tell customers when they do not wish to work on a particular type of car or problem, and direct them to someone who is better equipped or more knowledgeable. I've been going to them for many years and always recommend them to friends, most of whom have had equally good service. They are also among the best foreign car parts dealers in the area.

This garage has a great crew, worthy of being on car talk themselves. Or, just John! Able to diagnose by listening to whacked out car owners renditions of car noises and identify clients by voice from listening to their laugh. (Guess I've called too many times!) They've gone the extra mile for me a ton of times and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a great mechanic. A non-intimidating atmosphere for women car owners. Oh, and for all of the other ladies out there, Dave, Doug, & the other mechanics do most of the work, John just gets all of the credit. :)

These guys go out of their way to be helpful. I haven't had lots of work done here but have been most impressed by their honesty and thoroughness. They explain things clearly (I am NOT automotically savy). They cost less than the competition in the area. I took a car my daughter was considering buying and their advice saved her lots of money and upset. They get all of my business now that I am back in the area.

I have been frequenting these guys for more than 30 years (that gives you some idea of their age and mine!) and they have ALWAYS been fun *and* competent. The shop hasn't always been Northeast Foreign Cars, but has for the last 10 or 20. They call a spade a spade and tell you straight-up when to sell that old hunkojunk rather than pay them a bazillion dollars to fix it. Dougie and Davie are brothers, almost as irreverent and funny as Tom and Ray. John is always pleasant and treats the ladies with respect. Eddie does good work on my Isuzus even though they don't deserve it.

We have three cars (Audi, Subaru and Porsche) that have received expert care from Northeast Foreign Cars. My first experience with them was a "second opinion" where they found a few loose bolts on the steering rack that another nearby facility with a similar name had recommended a new steering rack! Since then, NEFC has been reliable and honest. They also have a huge parts department.
