i bought a salvage vehicle from this shop. they have warrantied the vehicle as a new car dealer would. they accually repair things when i take the car in (not like dealers, which make you work on your own car). after dealing with them i see no reason to buy a new car, or even an unsmashed car again. I have had my rebuilt vehicle for a year and a half, and feel that it is the best car i have ever owned. these guys are great, plus they do good work.

I have been dealing with Fairfax Auto (nee Fairfax Salvage) for 25+ years. They have worked on my domestic and foreign built vehicles. I have bought two rebuilts from them also. They are straight shooters.

  • BEEN THERE DONE THAT
Customer beware! We decided to try Fairfax Auto Repair and Salvage for the first time. They called with an estimate that we detailed and wrote down item by item when the staff member called. We approved the repair at the pricing the staff member provided. When we went to pick up our vehicle, the total came to $336.52 more than the estimate provided. This was over 30% more than what was quoted to us. The staff member that quoted the pricing to us was shocked at the bill because he also had the pricing he quoted us in front of him. Another staff member got involved and informed us he would not stick by the estimate. He was very unsympathetic to say the least. If we wanted our car back, we had to pay the bill. So, that left us with no choice but to pay the total. They will have no further business from us, and we hope you learn from our experience to steer clear of their business as they can not be trusted at their word. This was a significant expense for our budget, and we would not want anyone else to have this experience.
