These guys do a great job. They have kept my parents and now myself going on the road for over 30 years. Great service, quick repairs, fair prices. The best!

I try not to use this shop because every time I do I end up regretting it. But, they are right around the corner from my house so when I need something and can't make it somewhere better (anywhere) I end up here and every time I say never again. This last time I went for an inspection and they told me my oil really needed to be changed so I let them do it since I'm driving a few hours tomorrow. When I got home I told my husband who was immediately upset. Apparently he had just changed the oil in the car and put 15k high mileage full synthetic oil and an expensive oil filter in it... So basically they lied to me and downgraded my oil and filter and charged me to let them do it.

I met someone here that said his name was Freddy to look at a 2007 Volvo V70. It all started out funny when the car had only 1 license plate, and that one was from New York. Current inspection though...from Virginia. Owner claimed it has always been in Virginia though, which turned out to be true once I ran the carfax. Freddy proceeded to tell me how he had the car for 2 years, and he was in the Marines, and his wife drove it. He claimed to have done a lot of work to the car himself, since he was a mechanic at this shop. The car had a check engine light on, and a specific warning message about Anti-Skid system. When I asked him about it he claimed it was just a steering wheel sensor, and it was nothing to worry about. I beg to differ. I asked if I could check the VIN, and he said of course and proceeded to scan the barcode on his own phone, and show me a screen shot from a different vehicle, claimed it had only 2 owners. When I ran the carfax myself, it showed 3 owners, and while the history was there, and very well maintained, it did NOT match his story. He claimed to have done the timing belt, brakes, oil changes, transmission flushes, etc all himself, but there were the records from dealerships right up until 1 month ago. It even had a Jiffy Lube sticker from about 2000mi prior, when I asked him he claimed he had a coupon...what kind of mechanic takes their car to Jiffy Lube because they have a coupon?! Carfax also revealed the car had been sold about a month ago, yet not registered. It did have a pre-sale inspection done at the dealership, which explains the recent inspection sticker on the window. Bottom line....he lied to me over and over again about the car, and anyone who lies that much must be hiding something, and anyone who lies that much that is an employee of a business has therefore tarnished the reputation of that business.
