Shady business!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!!! Went today to get an inspection and emissions test done because my regular mechanic was busy, and I didn't want to wait and this place seemed very convenient. The front desk employee came to me and showed me a battery test report that indicated that my battery was in the 'marginal' range. He wanted to sell me his battery special for 120$. He also said I needed a transmission fluid flush. I said I had to check with my husband since he is the one who usually takes that car to get it serviced with another mechanic and that he would know best what was already done on this car. My inspection/emissions btw passed on my 2004 Toyota Camry. Before I left I asked for the battery test report so I could show it to my husband. After I left that shell station I called my husband and asked him if he remembered when he last changed the battery on this car. He said sometime last summer and that I should check under the hood, there should be a sticker on the battery. When I got home I checked and the sticker was showing 06/13. This battery was only 6 months old and this dude at the Shell station was trying to sell me a new battery!!! Then I looked closer at the battery test report and sure enough the time stamp was 8:00 am, and I came to this station at 9:00 am. He gave me a fake battery report! My husband also said that he already changed the transmission fluid a few moths ago. Please, do not trust this shady business. I will go to the other sites like Checkbook, Angie's list and Yelp to leave a negative review.
