I took my '88 Honda Accord in to have the engine looked at because it was running rough. Doug listened to my story and suggested a few things that it could be. We agreed to have him look at those things and if it was anything different (or more expensive) he would call me first. He also was confident he could have it finished by 5:00. I dropped the car off and went to work (the shop is very convenient to where I work)and subsequently got side tracked in meetings all day. At 5:00 I returned to pick up my car and he said that unfortuneately, it was something different than we thought and was slightly more expensive and that he had tried to contact me without success (owing to my all-day meetings. He went ahead and fixed what he thought was wrong. He said that because he did not get my approval first, if I did not want to pay for the job I was not obligated to do so. Well, whatever it was he fixed, the car ran much better (and has continued to do so). Needless to say (then why say it?) I did pay him and have taked both my cars to him for everything and have never been disappointed. He does not do tires/alignments, muffler problems or state inspections. Anything else, Dr. Honda is great! They are closed on Saturdays and Sundays but are open until 6:00 weeknights (they have families too). They also do not recommend dropping you car off when the shop is closed. They have had cars stolen off the premisis after hours and they do bring in the cars they are working on overnight.

Doug and Brian, took my 1984 Accord that I had purchased and worked on it for over two weeks trying to figure out what the previous owner had done to the vacuum lines. It ran like a champ afterwards. Thankfully, they did not charge me the hourly rates on that blue beast. I highly recommend them.

I've taken my 87 CRX SI to Dr Honda for several reasons including a timing belt/water pump/etc replacement and had no problems. What really impressed me were the the times I took the car in and they couldn't find anything wrong - they charged me nothing. Zip. Nada. Once was stalling in very cold weather - couldn't duplicate, said it might be water in the fuel filter. No charge. Another time was a terrible squealing under the hood that, of course, stopped when I took it in. They didn't hear anything, no charge. The squealing started up again, this time they heard it (A/C idler pulley bearing shot) and fixed it. They also answered a multitude of questions from this back-yard mechanic. I can't say enough good things about them.

Over the past 10 years they have maintained my 4 Hondas and 2 Acuras. They only work on Honda and Acura. I have continued to buy Honda and Acura primarily so that Doug can provide the maintenance. They do not work on A/C's, Anti-lock brakes, or do State inspection. For all other work except warranty and recalls, they have provided all the service on 6 of my family's vehicles from when they were new, to 210,000 miles. Honest and willing to explain any problem. Prices are well below dealership service. They have recently moved to a new location (100A Professional Place). No more holes in the Parking lot.

Doug saved me lots of money over the dealers recommendation. The dealer wanted to replace my power steering pump when all that was needed was an O-ring replacement on my 2003 Honda Accord. He even referred me to an old TSB about the problem. I would definitely recommend his shop for your Honda.
