I have 2 cars. One just needs minor repairs and upkeep the other is known in our house by the name of "The Death Trap". The car breaks down atleast every 3 months. It is never the same problem twice. It is from 1986 and has close to 200,000 miles on it. They have towed it to thier shop many a time at a VERY reasonable cost and never making me wait more than 20 mins. They are so quick, reliable, reasonably priced and nice that even our local police use them for their personal cars. I have been using them for four years on the recommendation of a neighbor and I have not once regretted using them.

I can't say whether Knox responds well to "screw-ups" because I've never had them mess up a repair job. We have taken our cars there for the past 10 years or so (over the years, 3 Hondas, 1 Subaru, 1 Nissan) and have always been pleased with their work. Andy, who has worked on most of our cars, is a great mechanic: honest, reliable, trustworthy. He will tell you if a problem needs to be repaired immediatley or how many miles you can wait to have it repaired. Never have we gotten any of our cars back with a "new" problem. We would not take our cars anywhere else!

Knox Automotive has done many repairs and body work on my Audi A4 from 5 car accidents (none my fault). A couple of the accidents were pretty severe, as I was rear-ended by a Jetta on I-664 at Bower's Hill by a driver going the posted speed limit of 55 mph. The front end of his Jetta pretty much destroyed the rear end of my car. Of course, we chose Knox. I can't even remember who referred us to them, but we've only taken it there. They always take care to order good parts, and their body work is superior, esp. their paint work. I have never been able to tell that parts of my car were painted due to an accident. This is a major problem at most body shops as they don't account for the age of the car, fading, and wear and tear on paint, and just paint with really shiny paint next to duller paint, and you can normally see demarcation lines clearly. Knox does NOT do this style of painting. You cannot tell at all. I have been very impressed and pleased with their estimates, parts procurement, customer service, and repair prowess. One disappointing thing about their shop is its hours of operation. They do try to be flexible, but for working folks it can be difficult to get there to pick up your car before 5 pm weekdays. And as most people know, accidents cause you to lose time from work due to no fault of your own.
