Started taking my BMW to Chris after tiring of the exorbitant repair bills at the dealership. He's always been spot-on with his estimates, and repairs have never taken longer than he quoted. Often, they're finished sooner. He's gone the extra mile for me a few times: opening on a Sunday so I could pick up my car, fixing burned out signal lights and small things for free. BMW repairs are not cheap, but Chris is a much better bargain than the dealer.

I learned of Chris Car Care through the Mechanics Files. He is a long time German/BMW car repair specialist, and knows what he is doing, and does it well, and first time, though I've only been once. He prices are good...better than the dealer, but still not cheap, but work on BMW's never is! He's friendly, but if you want to have a detailed discussion of exactly what he's going to do, etc., you have to kind of pin him down. Not because he's dishonest in any way...far from it, it's just that he's so good at it, and has done it so long, that he knows exactly what needs to be done, and wants to get on with it. But, being my first time there, I guess I wanted him to "hold my hand" a little, so to speak!

I guess the best thing I can say is...I'M GOING BACK TO HIM AGAIN, so that's about as good a recommendation as I can make.

Chris knows what he's doing and he's a straight shooter. My car is an older Mercedes and he's done some work on the suspension, transmission and engine, mostly replacing old worn out rubber pieces like gaskets, seals, O-rings etc. I think he did a good job and I will definitely take the car to him for jobs I don't want to tackle myself. He has also been happy to answer questions when I've called and asked.
