Specialize in German cars. They will give you a ride to work. They always call with information about any problems. They are honest enough to have been written up in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, even though it is a small shop.

I recently found a VW Corrado that I wanted to buy, but the problem was that I live in Wisconsin, and the car was in Texas. Even if I fly down to see it, I'm not a mechanic, and can't assess it's condition beyond verifying that it has 4 tires and runs. After finding an existing reccomendation for Tims in the MechaniX-Files, I contacted them to ask them to inspect the car on my behalf, before I flew down to drive it a thousand miles. Both folks I talked to were extremely nice, and I was provided a thorough assessment over the phone. All my questions were answered, and I was provided a nice confidence in this long-distance purchase I was about to make. The most impressive part is that even though they knew the car would be leaving Texas for good, they didn't charge a thing for it. Pat said they like to consider a free used car inspection as their way of getting their foot in the door with a new customer, but to do it knowing they'll never see that car again, they've gone above and beyond my expectations.

Jerry (the Audi mechanic) has been working on my 1988 Audi 80 for over 6 years. He always checks it front to back during the oil change and lets me know what we may want to keep an eye on. I haven't always liked the price of repairing my Audi but I wouldn't trade it for anything (unless someone offers me an Audi TT convertible!!). Jerry has always let me know what was wrong and would often show me the problem. He has never laughed when I come in with strange noise sounds! The rest of the gang at Tim's has always been very helpful regardless of what I needed to be fixed-whether an oil change or replacing the heater. They are the Audi place in the D/FW area.

We moved from Texas to Oregon 6 years ago. Ever since we've been looking (in vain) for an auto repair shop as good as Tim's. They treated us like family; their repairs always worked; they insisted on using good parts even when we didn't especially want to pay for them; and I KNEW I could always count on them. We even went so far as to buy VW's because that was what they specialized on. Hope this helps someone! P.S. We really miss you guys Zack and family

I had a rough running vw Vanagon and running hot.. had it taking to shop in dallas they had it 3 days. on way home it ran hot again. I took it to Tim and it was simply short on ingition distribator. A New cap cured it. by they way the old cap was brand new too (defective) it also need a CAT converter to pass Inspection. ( i supplied it) bill was less than 100.00 where other shop charged me over 400 and they didn't fix it. they were super honest. and very nice to do business with. I highly recommed them

Tim's has primarily worked on my wifes' '72 SuperBeetle, as well as her new Beetle. While their expertise is definitely VW and other German cars, I want to give them the small plug that they will also service (at least some) Japanese models. I had a Maxima until recently that Tim did exclusive service on as soon as it went out of warranty. The entire staff is friendly, competent and interact well with customers. They also have two dogs that live in the office, which makes for a nice diversion if you are waiting in the shop for your car. Unfortunately for me, Tim's won't work on my new Saab, but I appreciate their rationale that they don't want to spread themselves too thin, but rather stick with what they know well.

I have had three Audis. Every repair has been done right, on time, and reasonably priced (for an Audi). They will change the oil while if I get in early enough. I bought my first used Audi recently as a daily driver, and Tim drove and inspected for no charge it while I had it in for an oil change. They are the main reason I stick with Audis. I know I can get them competently repaired when out of warranty without having to worry about being ripped off. I have referred my work colleagues with late-model Toyotas and Mazdas and they have become regular customers.
