Monday through Thursday only. Despite the name, Ben works on all makes, including collectors' cars. He also fixes up clunkers to give away to folks who need a hand up. He's always honest and never "sells" any part or repair. His business is steady, but he nearly always finishes everything by the end of the day. I've taken six vehicles to him over the course of about 20 years, and I only go somewhere else when he's on vacation, to get my state inspection (which he doesn't do) or to buy tires.

This is the only mechanic I will use in Fort Worth. I think management changed, because I don't see Ben any more, but Jerry is just as good. I have taken my car and my ex - wife's in for what I thought was major repairs, only to have them tell me that something minor was fixed (one time at no charge). The last time I took my truck in, I thought it was the water pump, but they found the radiator core was clogged beyond repair. They replaced it, and it worked out fine for about a week, but then started running a little warm again. I took it back, they replaced the water pump, which then fixed it for good. Then Jerry tried to take the price of the radiator off my water pump bill. He said since I was right about the pump, he didn't want to charge for the radiator -- despite the fact that the radiator was obviously so clogged that it was only getting about 1/3rd normal flow. I almost had to fight him to pay the whole bill -- that's how honest they are. Over the last 18 years I've taken 5 cars to them, and they've always done top notch work.
