Word of mouth sent me to Lane's Automotive (4001 1/2 Highway 157, Euless - west side of road, tucked behind some kinda beer barn or some such place. It's just a bit south of Pipeline Road across from Menasco. A bit hard to find first time but worth the look). Dean's always been straight with me. In one instance, he advised that the tranny work I needed was best handled by specialists and recommended another business for the work. Give them a call at (817) 283-6223. Tell 'em Ingersoll with the blue Dodge van sent ya. And, no, I don't get a kickback. I'm just so glad to find an honest mechanic!

Did nice work replacing a clutch on a Jeep that belongs to a friend of mine. A few minor problems created a test of their "follow up" care and they did a fine job. (Lost cap for the clutch reservoir and back up lights were inop.) A very clean shop, he does no advertising, yet they're always busy . . . go figure! _Highly_ recommended, even though the job wasn't done right the first time in our case.

I have used Lanes' Automotive for 13 years. He has always been upfront and direct about repairs. Never has pushed a repair on me, left my options open. He does not advertise, he does not need to. I like his new location much better more accessable. I have not found anyone better to take my cars to, have not needed to. Just wish he had longer hours.

I am SO grateful I found Lane's! I am a woman and have experienced so many shifty, dishonest mechanics. It is a pleasure to find a shop I sincerely trust and respect. Dean really takes the time to explain everything well. They are polite, amazingly clean, competent, trustworthy, and their charges have always been very fair. I would recommend Lane's to anyone without hesitation. They're popular -- you have to set an appointment about a week ahead of time!

My Cadillac dealer wanted to replace my fron disc pads for, get this, $380! Said the pads had electronic sensors and cost $180 for the set. (Mind you, this is for a car that was 2 years old, had only 28,000 miles on it. Every other luxury car, and the brakes last for 100K miles!!) He did the brake job for $200 --- he got after-market brake pads for the same price as regular brake pads without the electronic sensors!!!

This is the first time in my life that i feel so strongly about a repair place I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! Try it you won't be disappointed.

When I saw your section to recommend an auto repair shop, I thought, wow, finally a chance to tell everybody everywhere about Dean Lane and his shop, Lane's Automotive in Euless, Texas (817-283-6223). But I see quite a few are ahead of me and I'm not surprised. We've been using Lane's since the early eighties, and followed when he moved to a new location. He's never attempted to "fix some- thing that ain't broke" and we've never had to take one back. Over the years he's worked on 5-6 of our cars with superb results. He's good with advice too: a few years ago I had a Plymouth mini-van I had just about run into the ground, with over 150K miles, and after working on it for maybe the 5th time, he honestly told me he didn't want to see that thing again, it just wasn't worth spending much more money on. Most shops would have kept taking my money as lond as I could get the thing to the shop. No one will ever be disappointed with their work! MKG.

They were great. Kept in constant contact with me by phone. They have a discount with Enterprise if you need a rental. The shop and office was clean and well kept. Everything was discussed with me in a friendly and professional manner. Some of the repairs came in well under another shops estimate and some things they did not even charge for since it was easy to do in conjunction with another job. My truck is running great. I highly recommend them. Thanks!

I now only take my car here as they always fix the problem the first time. They keep in touch with you throughout the repair or service and they have never fixed anything I did not ask for. They even checked out my parent's car when they were visiting from out of town and when they could not find anything, they did not even charge them. I only trust these guys with my car now.
