Family run shop. Rex Spoon, the owner and chief mechanic, is a very personable and knowledgeable "car guy". He fixed an air conditioning problem in my 2002 Honda Odyssey that required a couple of tries. Evaporator coil was freezing up. When recharging the Freon didn't fix it, he finally had to replace the dashboard control unit. Rex found a used part locally for $60 (I would hate to know what the dealer part costs) and didn't mark up the part- just charged labor. Also, he doesn't charge the bogus "shop fees" of 5-10% some garages do. Shop is a little out of the way and easy to miss. Has key drop.

This is a family owned business that I have been going to since Rex started in the garage of his house. He has always been very honest and reliable. He has always told me exactly what the problem is and the best way to handle it. Sometimes he would say just wait it is not necessary right now , it will save you some money (such as a brake job) Sometimes he would say you need to fix this now the longer you wait the more damage it could do. I get my oil changer there because I know Rex will go over my vehicle completely, looking for problems and advising me on what to do. The last time, he found a leaking shock. He also told me that my warranty should cover it and it did. I truly believe that Rex has saved me a lot of money over the years. That is what a good mechanic should do. He is like a doctor and your car is the patient. He cares more about your car's health than making a buck.
