Polly's was recommended to me almost 20 years ago, by a co- worker, a Methodist minister. He said it was the most honest mechanic shop in Nashville. I agree. I have been using this shop for all the vehicles in my family for almost 20 years. They have done all of the maintenance on one new vehicle and five used vehicles over the years. They stand behind their work and always do a great job.

They have a lot of return customers. Make appointment in advance. They will tell you if they can not fix it or they don't have time to do it. Sometime they take care of small stuff for free.

They are the most honest mechenic I"ve ever met. They do not take advantage of female customer and are always truthful when giving estimates. Very on time when promised to deliver good work.

The man and woman who run this shop are the sweetest people. As a young oblivious female, I feel it is easy for shops to try to take advantage of me, so I usually call my father to double-check repair issues. When he called his trusted mechanic he got the same story I did-- the quoted price was about $50 cheaper, but he lives in a smaller city, so we went on with the repair. They had the car finished the same day even though it took me about 3 hours to call back to let them know to do it (They are open 7am-7pm). Also, I was able to walk to Vanderbilt and my apartment from their location (there is also a bus that runs right down that street). It is safe, convenient and friendly service -- overall a wonderful experience. They have definitely won themselves a new customer.

I strongly reccommend Polly's Amoco. They've been in the same location for decades and I first started bringing cars to Jim Polly over ten years ago. Jim's son Kenny now runs the shop, and the quality has not decreased. Even thought I've moved out of the neighborhood, I continue to bring repairs to these guys. Polly's Amoco has performed numerous repairs for me, and they've even fixed other shops' errors. When the repair was beyond their ability (complicated electrical), they let me know up front and reccommended another shop. I've sent several friends to Polly's and everybody's always ended up happy. Here's my most recent story-- my wife's car needed new hoses all-around after one failed critically. The geographically convenient shop charged us $300 for one hose and wanted another $500 for the remaining hoses. Kenny did the remaining work for less than $200.

Polly's is a Nashville institution. Like his father before him, Kenny Polly is a class act who insists on excellence and putting the customer first. Everyone's courteous, honest, professional, and there's not a cleaner, better organized, or better run business anywhere. Polly's is old school, the way it should be done. John Trim

Excellent, professional, timely, and well-priced service. Highly recommend over other shops in the same zip code.

I needed a discontinued part for an old car. Their supplier sent them the wrong part but they managed to track down a local used one that works great, had it done when they originally promised anyway and came in $20 under the quote. They Were very friendly and I plan on using them again. I am sure this heap will need something again soon.
