I have never received such honest, excellent service. It may take a little longer than some big shops, but it will be done right, not rigged. They take the time to explain what is wrong and what they are going to try to fix it. If it is something thay cannot do, they will find out how to do it, or refer you to someone who does, rather than not do it correctly, etc.

I am a young female with absolutely no idea how my car works and no idea how to act as if i do. I think these guys treated me and my car decently. I haven't had any more problems, they charged me what i expected, they were great at explaining to me what was going on, and they got it done much faster than i expected. i choose central automotive as my car doctor from now on!!

The owner really does run an honest capable shop. They fix only what is necessary and offer advice that is always well thought out and reasonable. A local TV station did one of those "take a simple problem and see if different shops will rip you off" pieces a year or so ago. The real problem was some fuse and they found it in no time, fixed it, didn't charge the undercover reporter. They are very, very good.

I took my 1980 Mercedes Benz 380SL in because it had poor acceleration, kept stalling out. I had it towed because I didn't want to putt-putt across town with no acceleration. Firestone said they couldn't fix. But Central Automotive said they could fix it. After a couple of days they said it needed a tune up with new distributor cap, spark plugs, wires & rotor. They allegedly replaced vacuum hoses. They took about 5 weeks and charged me $740 for labor and $530 for parts. And guess what, when I complained the car wasn't any better, they told me to let the car warm up for 2 to 3 minutes before I drive it. Of course they had me at gunpoint because I couldn't get my car if I didn't pay. But they didn't fix the car. Would you buy a car that had to warm up before you could drive it? They should have just confessed they were clueless rather than charging me over $1,400 with tax for their experimenting. I will not take my business there again.
