Rick, and all the guys (and gals) at Alpine are always, polite, always helpfull, and always freindly. Before I bought a 10yr old BMW, Rick and Alpine were recommended by a Mercedes mechanic close to our family. Rick check this car out for me, told me alot about the history of the car's mantainence (no documentaion, he recognized the vehicle!) and told me what kind of repair expences to expect in the near and distant future and told me to offer $1500 less that what the seller wanted (it worked). Also, he made an appointment for me at a body shop that could pull the rear end into allingnment. For this, he did not charge a penny. He consistantly charges less that his estimates, and works around my schedule (he does stay very busy by the way). The last time I was in the shop down the street had a billboard at the corner for $19.95 oil change, but no shop name was on the billboard. In addition to the other work I asked for the oil change special. Rick explained that it was not his sign and that the price was $40 or $50 or some such price (same as the national oil change places wanted), I told him to go ahead, I trust him and do not know the other guys. When I paid my bill, I expected the $350 for the other work + the oil change. He throw in the oil change. I know that this is not much, but it means alot to customer that have been burned by other shops. I don't know anyone in Memphis with a BMW that does not take it to rick. (When in Nashville see Autohaus - great guys too) my BMW has 148K on it and still running like new.

I have been taking my BMW to John at Alpine for 3 years. I have always followed his recommendations, and he took a good car and made it into a wonderful car. The mechanics and staff are friendly and very helpful. I recently asked them to inspect a used BMW that I was looking to buy. They took me on very short notice and quickly found the major items that needed work. I took their estimate back to the dealer and negotiated an excellent price, saving more than $2,000. Couldn't ask for a better shop.

John at Alpine has been working on my BMWs (1982 323i, 1995 5401, 2006 X3) for at least 15 years. I don't go anywhere else. What more can I say.If you find a good mechanic you stick with them. He kept the 1982 running until 2000 when a tree fell on it, the 1995 until I recently retired it with almost 250K on the odometer and I am not easy on automobiles.
