Look, it's a Volvo. There is nothing cheap on the #@$^ thing to break, but I'm not sure this is true of any car any longer. These guys always let me know how bad its going to be on the front end and stick to their estimates. On the one occasion that they couldn't get my car finished by the end of the day promised the owner, Ken, offered me his car, newer and nicer than mine, even though he knew I was going to Nashville for 2 days. Good guys

Kenn's shop has been the best place I've ever found for my car. Over a period of 8 years and several different mechanics, he's been my favorite. I trust his judgements and feel the prices he charges have been fair. He came recommended from several faculty members at the local university.

I went to Ken to check out my first used Volvo purchase. Boy, did I buy a lemon! Ken was great and listed all the problems and even gave me advice on how to deal with the dealer who sold it to me. Luckily, I was able to "trade" the lemon for a different Volvo. Ken checked at least 3 before he found one that he said was a good deal. He was correct. My mom bought that Volvo from me and has had no problems in the 3 years that she has owned it. Ken currently services my 240GL. I will not take her to anyone else. Ken and his mechanics are always pleasant. They take the time to explain everything that is required. It is evident by the amount of returning customers that European Motor Werks is trustworthy and reliable establishment.

Ken and his employees do their work with expertise and pride. I have never seen or heard of a better shop.

They have worked on my wifes Saab and my Volvo. Ken and Wayne are the best; honest, conscientious, knowledgeable.

Edward Thomson, an excellent mechanic working at European Motor Werks, recently worked on my vehicle. I found his knowledge, work ethic, experience and integrity above reproach. He effectively diagnosed my problem, and patiently explained it too me offering knowledgeable alternatives, then quickly and efficiently went about correcting it. I was very pleased with the service that I received AND I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN again the next time I need a repair or service to my vehicle. I only hope that Edward will be able to work on my vehicle again!

My Saab 9-3 broke down on the highway outside of Knoxville and about 150 miles from my home and trusted Saab specialist in Atlanta. European Motor Werks had the opportunity to fully "take me for a ride" given my stranded position and being a female but chose not to. Instead, they went out of their way to detail the costs, and in a cost comparison with my mechanic in Atlanta and at all points they were either on par or cheaper. The work was highly professional, done in a timely fashion, and most importantly, they were highly trustworthy in all of their dealings with me. They went ahead an fixed a minor body repair issue at a no cost and washed and detailed my car at no cost as well. They were a pleasure to work with. The only downside is that I live in Atlanta and cannot use them on a regular basis.

Ken is the most honest and capable mechanic I have ever met. He works on 2 Volvos (1998 and 1994) for our family and has done an excellent job on both. We recommend him without reservation. And to top it all off, he is a heckuva nice guy, always willing to educate his customers!

After a few bad experiences with other shops, we finally found Ken and the other folks at EMW. That was more than 12 years ago, and in that time, EMW has serviced our Volvos, Toyotas, and everything else. Ken's a smart man, and takes the time to research and do the job right.

Ken is a great guy and better mechanic. Moved to Knoxville area with an older Saab and needed a few things worked on. Started working with Ken and stayed with him until we moved. All the repairs were done on time and the costs were completely reasonable.
