It was 95 degrees at 3 pm Saturday of Memorial Day weekend when I suddenly had no clutch in our 1979 Toyota mini-motorhome, which was our home as we travelled from Maine to Natchez Mississippi. With local help, we located Yank, his mechanic Josh, and Yank's brother visiting for the weekend from Ohio, who were out on ATVs on a sunny Saturday afternoon. They dropped that, came to the RV and got some fluid into the clutch hydraulic system so we could drive to his shop. Josh removed the leaking hydraulic cylinder, and Yank found a replacement part (amazing in itself!) in a store an hour's drive away. He drove, got the part, drove back, and Josh installed the new part, bled the system, and adjusted the clutch. He also redid a bad exhaust pipe, which requited both welding and bending. All three gave up five hours of their holiday weekend for us. All he asked for was $60! (I gave him a good deal more.) The experience was a high point of our wonderful ten-week RV trip. They are wonderful people.
