Steve Smith was the local Honda dealer's troubleshooter for many years until he and his wife decided to open their own Honda repair shop. Their idea was to provide excellent service at reasonable prices. In the last four years, they have rebuilt the top half of my aging 1990 Civic wagon's engine, rebuilt the air conditioner, installed a new alternator and distributor as well as replacing the brake/clutch pedal assembly and many other minor tasks. My Honda is nearing 300,000 miles under his excellent maintenance. All of this has been done more than reasonably with good humor and wit as well as being very timely.

This shop is the ONLY place I go for maintenance and repairs in Chattanooga. 1. The prices are very reasonable (Oil change $25!) 2. They are honest. I had the SRS light illuminated in my 2001 Civic. They scanned the computer free, and redirected me to the Honda dealer to have this performed under warranty. 3. They are personable. The owner comes into the waiting room and explains the situation clearly to each customer. 4. They have a VERY comfy waiting room. I whole-heartedly recommend S&S!

They told me exactly what was wrong and explained what was happening to my car. Were very reasonably priced and knew what they were talking about. Also very friendly.

This repair shop has a great reputation for honest , reasonable repairs. I have known Steve for many years and had no reservations having my son's car towed there last month. What a HUGE mistake! Bottom line comes down to an almost $500.00 repair on a bad Honda Accord starter !!! The part was an outrageous $300+ and labor the remainder. They must have installed the "solid gold" model starter from Fort Knox! Warning : Make sure you have deep pockets when entering this shop- they will get the job done , but nick your credit card but good!

I have been taking both of my Honda Accords to Steve at S&S for about 15 years. If it is not under warranty, S&S is the place to go. I have never been disappointed with their service, and in fact have been pleasantly surprised several times, with the very reasonable charges, and sometimes no charge. I have recommended S&S to all of my Honda friends, and I know several have taken their vehicles to Steve and have been happy customers. I wholeheartedly recommend S&S for all your repairs in the makes they service.
