Earl Wright is one of the last old-time mechanics, who cares about you as much as your car. I can only liken him to an old-time doctor, who knows your car, the cars you had before the one you have now, who remembers every customer by name. Although it sounds quaint by today's high tech standards, with his 35 years of experience he can often tell what's wrong just by listening, or smelling. Earl's never been wrong for anyone in my family, or any of my friends I have referred him to. He was a real 60's VW-certified mechanic, so if you have a vintage VW, Earl is THE BEST in Rhode Island. However, his true passion remains in Detroit iron, so if you've got an American car, it's in good, experienced hands. Sometimes Earl may be more expensive than the big Pep-Boys or Firestone chains. Since his partner retired, he works by himself so he may have your car for a day or two. But it's fixed. Fixed right, and fixed well. And that's ALL that matters.

I'M A FEMALE, AND I'VE FINALLY FOUND A GARAGE I LIKE. I DROVE BY AND NOTICED A GIANT SIGN WHICH SAID NOW OPEN. APPARENTLY IT JUST REOPENED UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP. I WAS GREETED NICELY, GIVEN A RIDE DOWN THE STREET TO GET A BITE TO EAT, AND WAS PHONED AND PICKED UP WHEN MY CAR WAS DONE. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT SERVICE

I was in the area temporarily and needed some long-overdue work done on my car (a '99 Olds). I found this shop on the cartalk website. I called up the owner, Scott (the shop apparently reopened under the name "Miracle Motors;" same address and phone number) and explained the problems I was having. He was very nice, straightforward, and he and his crew not only found a way to fit me in that day, but replaced two rotors, two tires, plugged a flat in a third, did an oil change, and even filled up my windshield wiper fluid, which was getting low (like I said, my car needed some work ... =) All done in one day and all for a very reasonable price considering all the work done. Communication was excellent, and I'd definitely recommend Miracle Motors to anyone in the area (and already have). I'd even come back all the way from PA!
