As a woman I have often found myself at the mercy of mechanics, so when I moved to Allentown I was seeking recommendations for a good shop. I found several, but since I have to usually wait for my car, I didn't like the atmosphere of the shops. I found the A-Team through a friend at church who owns it and I must admit I am very pleased with the service and they have a lovely waiting room area/restroom. Ken, the master mechanic, is totally honest and works with you to get to the root of a problem. Super nice guy and I think he knows what he is doing. He takes the time to explain things to me and he would never sell you something you don't need. They have even sent me to another shop to get a rebuilt muffler instead of ordering a super expensive one for a former car of mine. I love their tire deal too. I don't know how their service costs compare, but I think they are competitive and it is worth paying a bit more for piece of mind.
