We used to be family friends with this repair business. However, that relationship was broken after this encounter. My car broke down 60 miles from home. At the time, their rate for towing was a $60 hookup and a $4 a mile charge. That since has gone up. Their tow driver went to offload my car and was obviously rushing. He did not take the time to put the winch back in the tow hook on the car after releasing the wheel straps, and proceeded to lower the car. As the bed tilted, the car rolled off the back of the truck, about a four foot fall. The front bumper was scratched as well as the skid plate. These both needed to be replaced as well as the inner wheel well linings. I spent two months calling the shop almost every day to get the body work on my car repaired, but the owners, whom we were family friends with, did not have the decency to make good on my car which they damaged.

Worst experience of my life. My car broke down and was towed to this shop via my AAA membership. After month number one, I was told that the mechanic ordered the wrong parts, and he was fired. After almost 3 months, I drove the car for five miles and it had to be towed back to the shop. After another 4 months in the shop I got the car back and it broke down after driving it 150 miles. Owner promised to pick up the vehicle but I couldn't go through with having my car held hostage for another 7 months. I sunk over $10k into the car. Stopped payment on the second check--they treatened to take me to court--Finally traded in the car for junk. The owners even blamed me for her dog dying. (By putting stop payment on the check she couldn't pay his vet bill! Really!) Avoid like the plague! Dishonest people! Dirty disorganized shop! I tried to get AAA to intervene--they were useless! I truly believe that if you are honest with folks good things come to you in return. When you are dishonest--I believe you deserve to be shut down. May your business shut down for your dishonesty!
