I've been a customer of Elwood's for approximately 20 years, and have never had a reason to complain about the work performed, or the prices.

As a girl who is easily intimidated by mechanics who think you don't know anything, I always feel comfortable asking questions and getting my work done there. They are accomodating to my schedule, although they close at 5 and aren't open on Saturdays. I HIGHLY recommend Elwood's.

The mechanics are honest, competent, and friendly. They give good value and have always taken the time to explain what work they have to do and always call to get approval if additional unexpected work needs to been done. I highly recommend Elwood's. Barry and Charlie are great guys!!

I've been a customer for 34 years. I'll make two points to illustrate what kind of mechanics Elwood (now retired and Barry's dad and Charlie's father-in-law) are. I once was told by a local Toyota garage that I needed a new fuel pump on my 1989 Cressida (total cost around $500). Elwood made the repair, it needed a fuel pump gasket, in less than an hour and for $15! A few weeks ago, a Toyota dealer told my daughter that she needed about $3000 dollars in repairs on her 1998 Camry. She actually needed about $200 worth of work done by Barry. These guys are excellent mechanics and great people!

It's nice to find a good place to get car service when you need it. I was lucky to have a neighbor recommend Elwoods when I moved in from out of state. They do excellent work and do not gouge you on prices. I take my vehicles there and my daughter's as well because I know that taking it to the local dealer's service dept. it just not a wise move. I have been pleasantly surprised with very low repair bills there when I expected to pay a lot more. Friendly people too.
